Casablanca

Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and, with its international airport, where many journeys begin. Most visitors give it a day on the way to Rabat, Fes or Marrakech.

• The Hassan II Mosque, built out over the Atlantic. Its 210 m minaret was the tallest in the world until 2019, when the Great Mosque of Algiers overtook it.
• The art-deco buildings of the city centre, around Place Mohammed V.
• The Museum of Moroccan Judaism, opened in 1997 and the only museum devoted to Judaism in the Arab world.
• The Corniche along the ocean, for a walk and fresh fish.
