Day 1 · Casablanca – Rabat
The Hassan II Mosque, then 90 minutes up the coast to Rabat and a sunset walk by the Bou Regreg estuary.
Day 2 · Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
The Oudayas, the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V; Meknes with Bab Mansour and the royal granaries; the mosaics of Volubilis; Fes by dusk.
Day 3 · Fes, part one
Al-Qarawiyyin, the Bou Inania madrasa, the Nejjarine museum, the Chouara tannery, and a street-food walk in the evening.
Day 4 · Fes, part two
The Mellah and the Ibn Danan synagogue, an artisans' cooperative, the Jnan Sbil gardens and the Batha museum. Optional hammam.
Day 5 · Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga
Ifrane, the cedar forests near Azrou, lunch in Midelt, the Ziz valley, and a camel ride into Erg Chebbi.
Day 6 · Merzouga – Khamlia – Erfoud – Skoura
Dawn on the dunes, Gnaoua music at Khamlia, the fossil workshops of Erfoud, lunch with a family in Aït Ouzzine, and west to Skoura.
Day 7 · Skoura – Kalaat M'Gouna – Dades gorge
Kasbah Amridil, the rose town of Kalaat M'Gouna (its festival is in May), and lunch above the Dades gorge. Back to Skoura.
Day 8 · Aït Ben Haddou – Tizi n'Tichka – Marrakech
An early visit to Aït Ben Haddou, optional Atlas film studios, then over the High Atlas to Marrakech and Jemaa el-Fna at night.
Day 9 · Marrakech, part one
The Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Ben Youssef madrasa, then Jardin Majorelle and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
Day 10 · Marrakech, part two
A cooking class with a dada, the souks, the Ensemble Artisanal, and a farewell dinner with Andalusian music.
Day 11 · Departure
A slow morning, then the drive to Casablanca airport.
