The day
About 9:00 – Jardin Majorelle
Pick-up from your hotel or riad and the garden first, before the crowds. The Yves Saint Laurent Museum next door is optional (tickets separate, closed on Wednesdays).
Late morning – Koutoubia and the Saadian Tombs
The Koutoubia, Marrakech's great mosque, seen from outside, as non-Muslims cannot enter. Then the Saadian Tombs, the royal necropolis sealed off for centuries and found again from the air in 1917.
Midday – lunch in the medina
Your guide suggests a place; lunch is not included.
Afternoon – Bahia Palace and Jemaa el-Fna
The 19th-century Bahia Palace, with its courtyards, zellij tiles and painted cedar ceilings, then Jemaa el-Fna.
About 17:00 – the souks
A guided walk through the souks before you are taken back to your hotel or riad.
