Day 1 · Tangier
The view across the Strait, the Grand and Petit Socco, the kasbah, the Caves of Hercules, and mint tea on the terraces of Café Hafa.
Day 2 · Larache, Lixus and Asilah
South along the coast to the ruins of Lixus near Larache, then Asilah, a walled seaside town whose medina walls are painted with murals.
Day 3 · Tetouan
The UNESCO-listed medina, rebuilt by Andalusian refugees after the fall of Granada, the Mellah and the school of traditional arts.
Day 4 · Tangier – Chefchaouen
Into the Rif to Chefchaouen, the blue town founded in 1471 around its kasbah. Evening on Outa el-Hammam square.
Day 5 · Chefchaouen and Akchour
Sunrise from the Spanish mosque, then a walk to the Akchour waterfalls and 'God's Bridge' in Talassemtane National Park, or a slow day in town.
Day 6 · Chefchaouen – Fes
Through the Rif foothills to Fes, an evening walk in Fes el Bali and dinner with a Fassi family.
Day 7 · Fes
A full guided day: the Royal Palace gates, the Mellah and the Ibn Danan synagogue, the Bou Inania madrasa, al-Qarawiyyin, and the view from the Marinid tombs.
Day 8 · Meknes and Volubilis, or the gardens of Fes
Choose a day trip to Moulay Idriss, Volubilis and Meknes, or stay in Fes for Jnan Sbil, the Batha museum and Palais Mokri.
Day 9 · Fes – Tangier
North through the countryside back to Tangier for a last dinner by the Strait.
Day 10 · Departure
A last walk in the medina, then transfer to the port or airport.
