Day 1: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – M’Hamid

Depart from Ouarzazate and drive south through Agdz, entering the lush Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Stop along the way to explore traditional villages and ksour. Continue to M’Hamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the Sahara. Meet your camel team and guides, then enjoy a short sunset walk into the desert. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp.

Day 2: M’Hamid – Sidi Naji – Erg Smar

Begin your camel trekking adventure, walking at a relaxed pace across desert plains and tamarisk groves. Follow old caravan routes used by nomads for centuries. After lunch under the shade of acacia trees, continue towards the dunes of Erg Smar. Watch the sunset over the sand dunes before dinner and overnight camping under the stars.

Day 3: Erg Smar – Erg Chegaga

Today’s trek leads deeper into the Sahara toward the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga, the largest dune system in the region. Walk across vast sandy landscapes, with camels carrying supplies. Arrive at Chegaga in the afternoon and enjoy free time to climb dunes or relax. Spectacular sunset, traditional dinner, and overnight in a nomadic-style camp.

Day 4: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriki – Desert Plateau

Leave Erg Chegaga after sunrise and trek across the dry desert plateau towards the salt flats of Lake Iriki. Enjoy the vast open landscapes and the silence of the desert. Afternoon arrival at a remote desert camp. Sunset over the dunes and starlit dinner under the open sky. Overnight in a nomadic-style camp.

Day 5: Desert Trek – Foum Zguid – Draa Valley

Continue your camel trek across the desert plains in the morning. After lunch, a 4x4 transfer takes you to Foum Zguid, then back through remote desert landscapes towards the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight in a local guesthouse or lodge surrounded by palm oases.

Day 6: Draa Valley – Agdz – Kasbah Exploration

Spend the day exploring the scenic Draa Valley. Visit traditional ksour, historic kasbahs, and small Berber villages along the palm-lined river. Optional short camel rides or walks in the palm groves. Evening return to a comfortable lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Departure

Enjoy a leisurely morning in the Draa Valley, soaking up the peaceful landscapes. After lunch, drive back to Ouarzazate, passing scenic viewpoints, palm groves, and historic kasbahs. End of the 7-day Sahara camel trekking adventure. Transfer to the airport or continue your Moroccan journey.
